Dates: Friday, June 23 – Saturday, June 24, 2023
In our 4th year, we will showcase all the moving imagery that New England has to offer.
We will only accept films that are either from New England filmmakers, are set in New England, or whose subject matter is about New England. It can be 1 or all 3!
The entirety of the festival is at the historic Lincoln Theater where movies have been showing since the early 20th century on one of the largest screens in the state. The theater has recently gone through extensive renovations, seats over 200 people, and sits smack dab in the middle of beautiful downtown Damariscotta.
Damariscotta is in the heart of MidCoast Maine, one hour from Portland and three hours from Boston. Complete with world-class oysters and brewpubs, a thriving arts community, and its scenic coastline, Damariscotta will seem like a place born to host a film festival.
As we have done since our first year, we are keeping submission fees low for our festival to continue to build on previous year’s success and to entice filmmakers of all ages from all corners of the country and world to submit.
